We all know Adamantium – it’s the virtually indestructible metal that’s bonded to the skeleton and claws of Wolverine. Looks like it might play an important role in Marvel Studios’ Captain America: New World Order, that is, if well known scooper Daniel Richtman is to be believed. Apparently the film’s plot will deal with “an international conflict over a new metal called Adamantium.”
So where did it come from? A mountain? Another Wakanda/Talcon style society? Doctor Doom’s Latveria? Richtman says it will be discovered on Tiamut Island, the dead Celestial we saw at the end of Eternals (2021). Marvel fans have been wondering when the massive being sticking out of Earth’s atmosphere would be fully addressed in the MCU, and it seems that “every country [wants] a piece of that new metal.
Between Adamantium and Vibranium, it’ll be interesting to see how this all plays out. In a big war, perhaps?? 👀
Does this mean there’s potential for a Wolverine tease? Possibly. We’ll have to wait six months after CP4 (May 3, 2024) to see Hugh Jackman officially return for the Untitled Deadpool and Wolverine Film (November 8, 2024), but there’s nothing stopping Marvel from teasing MCU proper Logan. That is, assuming Jackman doesn’t outright keep the role!
Bro, that would be awesome and a great plot point!
