Marvel Studios is reportedly planning multiple seasons of X-MEN ’97 animated revival.

X-MEN ’97 is still on track to be with us in Fall 2023, and entertainment scooper KC Walsh says “it’s expected to go for 4 seasons” on Disney Plus! Marvel Studios already announced season two of the animated series revival last Summer at Comic Con International, with voice talent like Cal Dodd (Wolverine) and Lenore Zann (Rogue) sharing that S2 is being produced as we speak.

Details on Season 1 are few, but we know it will pick up from where the show ended – with Lilandra taking a wounded Professor X into space, and the X-Men forging ahead with a reformed Magneto. Supporting characters include Morph, Sunspot, Bishop, Force, Nightcrawler, Mister Sinister, Sebastian Shaw, White Queen, Callisto, and Val Cooper, among many others.

There’s no word if they will tie this series into the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the sky’s the limit when it comes to what they can do with the multiverse!
