Actress Rose Byrne (Moira MacTaggert) recently spoke to IGN about a potential sequel to X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, which garnered rave reviews from fans and critics alike this Summer. As with all X-Men films, the principle cast has contracts/ options for additional films, should Fox decide to pursue them.
“Yeah, we all had to sign on for three, I believe. Well, I did anyway. But as of right now I have no idea if they’re planning on doing another one.” said Byrne. “But that was the idea depending on how it all went, I suppose. We’ll see though. I loved working on it and loved working with the cast. I loved Matthew Vaughn. I also loved the style. The era and the fashion. And it was kind of kitsch-y and funny. It was a really fun and sophisticated superhero movie. I’m very proud of the film.”

Yes yes yes yes yes please do the second film of X-men first class 2 please please please i m dying to know please and i m exciting to know the continue of X-menfirst class but let me ask you one thing about this Character (Riptide) does he talks in the movie of X-men first class or why is he isn’t talks in the rest of the X-menfirst class movie??
What are they waiting for. They made almost as much money as BATMAN BEGINS and from the start they compared it with the Nolan series.
Now, get the very same team and make a sequel in style of THE DARK KNIGHT… And we will have a huge hit in about 2 years.
Crap films like GREEN LANTERN and THOR, and even CAPTAIN AMERICA are getting sequels and none of them persuaded critics like FIRST CLASS did, and yet the best rated comic book based movie has no sequel announced yet?
Even crap like CLASH OF THE TITANS will get a sequel… come on Fox, what are you waiting for?
Thor and Captain America are also Marvel Films.

So what? Only because they share the Marvel logo, they are supposed to be great?
THOR was boring and perdictible and Captain America was just too much over the top.
So far only the X-Men films and Nolan’s Batman films were able to impress me… But then again everyone is entitled to have his/her opinion.
Point is, those films were lacking quality and some even made less money, yet they are getting sequels… whereas FIRST CLASS was quite successful (350 million) and got excellent reviews… so where is talk about a sequel?
First Class definitely deserves a sequel, and I’m hopeful they’ll announce one. Like you said, it was the top critically appraised comic book film this Summer, and it has been profitable for Fox. A sequel would likely bring in even better profits for them!
Also it would be a travesty having Michael Fassbender only play Magneto once. 🙂

Riptide actor Alex Gonzalez actually knew very little English when he was cast in the film. I don’t think this was the reason though, because he was in the process of learning English before filming. Maybe they just wanted Riptide to be the silent type? Lol.

Anthony you should put the interesting or most important characters who played theyre challange character for exemple like Alex Gonzales ( Riptide) and Azasel in this interview in this website of each artists when those artists play theyre challanging character of X-men first class coz in the interview of Alex he was very interesting he,s interivew and we didn’t saw it in this website only James, michael January jones and some of them but not Alex and this guy Azasel so we have to see it sorry to said this to you but we forgot to see the interview of alex Gonzales and azasel that,s all thank you
Hey wait a min if Alex Gonsalez Knows so much and perfecly English how come in this film of X-men first class he doesn,t speak english in this X-men first class film coz i,ve seen hes interview in 2010 and he plays drumbs i saw hes interview in youtube and this movie of First class is made in 2011 so if alex knows english how come he doesn,t speak english in this film i got him he is a trap
pardon me to make so many post in here but i discover another new powerfull mutant women character in the series of x-men cartoon i ve seen in youtube and i,ve didn’t know that is going to be another new powerfull women apart of Emma Frost that she should be in X-men first class 2 this Character is very powerfull and i wish to see her in the reality, her name is ‘Scarlet Witch’ her story is very interesting who knows if she is going to be in the X-men films movies i hope they well put her in the reality screen I hope they do of course later when they have time of course sorry and thank u
