DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE Footage Screened At CinemaCon; Kevin Feige Drops F-Bombs

CinemaCon attendees were treated to 9 minutes of footage from Deadpool & Wolverine on Thursday, with Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige and director Shawn Levy on hand to promote the film. Feige started things out by dropping F bombs: “It’s fucking awesome,” he said to the shock of man. “The reason I can say it’s fucking awesome is because it’s rated R.”

According to ScreenTime, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman appeared in-costume/character during a funny “silence your phones” bit. “So, I heard Secret Wars is finally gonna introduce…” Wolverine enters the frame after a phone rings. “Hey bub! You’re in a movie theaters. Turn off your f**king phone!” This leads to Deadpool saying “When you get angry like that, it makes my d**k vibrate.”

The Hollywood Reporter has a description of the footage shown:

It opens with Wade Wilson riding in a car with children. He says he might want kids some day but he “doesn’t have a lot of vaginal sex.” Wilson reconnects with Rob Delaney’s Peter, who tries to convince him to get back into the superhero game. He comes home to a surprise party and catches up with Colossus. Colossus shares that he’s been watching Great British Bake Off. “That show saved me from suicide,” Wilson replies. Wilson explains that “cocaine is the only thing Kevin Feige says is off limits.” Blind Al replies by coyly saying “Do you want to build a snowman?”

Wade is captured by the TVA. He wakes up in an office with Matthew MacFadyen’s character. He tells Deadpool that he has been chosen for a special mission to save the sacred timeline. Footage of Chris Evans’ Captain America is shown and Deadpool salutes him. He sees a clip of Chris Hemsworth as Thor crying over his body. “That happens in the distant future,” Macfadyen tells him. “I am Marvel Jesus,” Deadpool proclaims. He addresses the camera and says “Suck it Fox, I’m going to Disneyland. Get f**ked!” The footage ends with Deadpool getting a new super suit.

Another funny bit finds the co-leads on the road in a car. “Why do your friends let you leave the house looking like you play for the Los Angeles Rams?” quips Deadpool. “Shut the f**k,” growls a moody Wolverine.
