Sadie Sink Signs On For SPIDER-MAN 4. Is She Making Her MCU Debut As Jean Grey Or Firestar?

Deadline reports that Stranger Things actress Sadie Sink has been cast in Tom Holland’s next Spider-Man entry. If you recall, Sink, age 22, was rumored for the role of Jean Grey in the MCU. Deadline also considers this, saying: the prevailing theory is she’ll be introduced as X-Men character Jean Grey, but don’t count out the idea that she shows up as another beloved redheaded Spider-Man character.

The “substantial” role could be a number of characters, if not Jean Grey. Sink seems like a good choice for a Mary Jane Watson variant, the red-headed mutant Firestar also seems like a perfect match. Then there’s Black Cat, Mayday Parker/Spider-Girl and Gwen Stacy, among others.

Firestar and Iceman as Peter Parker’s new best friends would certainly be amazing, don’t you think?

Arriving in theaters on July 31, 2026, the next Spider-Man film starts production later this year with Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang Chi) at the helm. Amy Pascal and Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige produce.
