A standout moment this year at San Diego Comic Con International is getting an up-close look at the costume from James Gunn’s Superman (2025) film. On display at the convention, the suit gives attendees a first-hand glimpse of the detailed craftsmanship that went into bringing the Man of Steel back to the big screen.
It’s one thing to see promotional images, but seeing the actual suit in person was something else entirely. The texture and stitching, every element feels intentional and designed to bring an iconic comic book look into modern cinema.
I’m amazed by just how much work and artistry goes into adapting such a well-known costume. It’s easy to forget how much behind-the-scenes effort goes into making it feel believable. Seeing the Superman suit up close reminded me that there’s a team of creatives all working to capture the essence of this beloved character. DC Studios’ Superman is now playing in theaters.
