Spider-Noir
The first poster artwork for Prime Video’s Spider-Noir live-action series starring Nicholas Cage made its first appearance on the floors of CCXP. Now officially released, it reveals that instead of a variant of Peter Parker or an entirely new character, the lead role goes to Ben Reilly. Comic book fans recognize Ben as Peter Parker’s clone from a classic storyline. Whether this plot point plays out in the series is anyone’s guess, but it’s possible Sony went with this character over Peter for legal reasons (Noir uses a gun). A first look trailer is expected to drop during the convention.
The Batman Part II
Nexus Point News reports that Scarlett Johansson (Jurassic World: Rebirth, Avengers: Endgame) is in talks to join director Matt Reeve’s The Batman Part II. The info has been backed up by the trades, including Deadline, who says the actress is in final negotiations. Industry insider Grace Randolph also chimed in, saying the role is possibly for a villain. I’m related news, Zoe Kravitz is not expected to reprise her role as Catwoman for the sequel.
Supergirl
IT’S HER TURN! A first look preview for DC Studios’ Supergirl is expected to be shown at CCXP ‘25 this Saturday. The preview is rumored to feature a lot of action backed up by Blondie’s song Call Me. The costume worn by star Milly Alcock is now on display at the event, which you can check out via Omelete.
Man of Tomorrow
It appears the direct follow-up to Superman will feature a lot of songs in addition to a proper score (think Guardians of the Galaxy). While sharing his top year-end lists, director James Gunn revealed on his X: “I can’t post my top songs because they are ALL in Man of Tomorrow…” Starring David Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult, the film is scheduled for a July 9, 2027 theatrical release.
The Boys
Two new posters have been released for the final season of The Boys on Prime Video, featuring Antony Starr as Homelander and Karl Urban as Billy Butcher. A first look is expected to release during CCXP. The concluding chapter releases in 2026.
Avengers: Doomsday
The teams featured in Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday were showcased during an official Disney event. Most notably is Sam Wilson’s Avengers team, which reportedly features Loki and apparently no female members. Despite this being announced as the main cast, we’ve known for a while now that a number of roles have yet to be revealed or included amongst this bunch, so the final lineup of actors is still mostly unknown. Catch a first look at the film next week! The highly-anticipated teaser trailer will show theatrically with Avatar: Fire and Ash.
28 Years Later: The Bone Temple
A new trailer has been released for 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple. The follow-up to Danny Boyle’s 2025 film, this new entry is directed by Nia DaCosta (Hedda, The Marvels).
