HBO Max has released new promo artwork for DC Studios’ highly anticipated series Lanterns live-action series. The visuals and muted green colors continue to emphasize the show’s (seemingly) more grounded approach, spotlighting an uneasy partnership between Hal Jordan and John Stewart.

According to the official premise, Lanterns follows Hal and John as they are drawn into a murder investigation on Earth. What begins as a seemingly isolated case quickly spirals into a deeper and more dangerous mystery, with the duo uncovering secrets that could have far-reaching consequences.

Behind the scenes, Lanterns boasts a high-profile creative team led by showrunner Chris Mundy (Ozark), alongside co-creators Damon Lindelof (Watchmen) and Tom King, with DC Studios heads James Gunn and Peter Safran serving as executive producers. The cast is headlined by Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan and Aaron Pierre as John Stewart, joined by Kelly Macdonald, Nathan Fillion, and a growing ensemble that includes key figures tied to the Green Lantern mythos.
The series arrives on HBO Max this August.
