X-MEN vet James Marsden recently told Entertainment Tonight that he would be interested in playing Cyclops again with hopes of digging deeper and exploring the underdeveloped character:
“It was great to be a part of those movies, people loved them – it’s still the thing I get recognized for the most — but I feel like because there were so many cast members in this 90 minute movie, there was never enough time to give him the depth that other characters had.” says Marsden. “The first movie was really Wolverine’s saga – and the second and third as well. If I had a dollar for every time someone came up to me on the street and said, “I would have loved to see more Cyclops.”
I don’t think his character was ever fleshed out as much as I would have liked. I may have also been a bit on the young side for those films. If I could go back and put on the glasses and suit again where we do a film to learn more about the character, that’s the one I would pick. He’s ripe for that.
Will Fox ever consider making X-MEN 4?
Yes, Lauren Donner wants to do an X-Men 4. I think it will happen.
I agree with what he said.
Wolverine took over the franshise and sure the other characters had there moment in the spotlight, but it was CYCLOPS who leaded the X Men.
He did do that in X1 But what happened in X2? He was just the ‘nurse’ to Xaiver (I mean no disrespect to Xaiver when I say that) And in X3, he went off to Superman and got himself ‘killed’
I m very much like Cyclopes i really do like him but the bad news is is depends on he,s soryline of he,s character of those comicbooks thats the problem if he survive like a inmortal character i,ll do make a exception i will be exciting to see him act again but like i said is depends on he,s story line that is the problem and to changed the subgect. i m sorry anthony but i m back for only a weekend but untill then i m gone in 26 of dicember again but have a great hollydays and a happy new years again thank you have a greatest ones c you soon
James Marsden is the first piece of the puzzle.
I never really understood the interest X fans have in Cyclops. IMHO (remember… my opinion only) the most boring character of the lot.
I mean look at Magneto, Charles, Logan, Victor… hell even Beast, Mystique and Sebastian Shaw. More personality and profile than the average good guy Cyclops.

well Xavierstorma if i only say this once and is for part of the cyclopes Fans Cyclopes is like Superman like he thrown out he,s lacer from hes shades and superman from he,s own eyes so both are similar is like Havok but havok throw he,s laser from he,s stomech and hes brother scott from he,s eyes but from hes shades that,s all and he was the leader of the X-men movie directed by Brian Synger the X2:X-men united too directed by Bryan Synger as well so give the fans a brake please cos they love so much Cyclopes and if you Xavier like Cyclopes to your welcome to make your comments
and each one of those X-men character that you Xaver mention are from the quantum physics and pardon me if i sound very profound anthony but is the truth about this Characters theyre developed theyre superpowers in the quantum physics force like storm, storm developed her powers on the quantum force and Magneto too so each of them born from the diferent direction with each different forces of supermagnetic powers like magneto did so..

Even though Wolverine had huge roles in the first 2 films, I had expected Cyclops to have a huge role in The Last Stand, but as it turned out, Brett Ratner messed it up! Marsden is partly responsible as well though, because the only reason Cyclops got killed off was because Marsden was eager to join the Superman Returns cast. Also, Halle Berry had demanded that her character Storm get more minutes on-screen, so it’s no surprise the writers killed off Summers to make way for Storm to become the new leader! If I were Ratner, I’d convince Marsden to bail Superman Returns, give him a bigger role up against Phoenix, and happily search for Berry’s replacement! With all due respect to Hugh Jackman, Logan has had enough spotlight from the first 2 films. After all, the movie’s title is X-Men, not Wolverine and the X-Men!
Yes X-fan but we don’t know if was the producer that they want the Phoenix killed scott or is it the storyline who the phoenix Killed with her kiss killed Scott that is in stand by cos we don’t know if its the producers who want to killed Scott for part of the Phoenix or is the storyline so is a completely a clue about Scott Summer. At least we have he,s brother in First class Alex as (Havok) or we don,t know if the producer or the director wants to choose another character coz havok wants to killed Shaw but he didn’t make it so the powers that shaw absorve for part of Havok,.. Shaw killed Darwin with the powers of Havok. So i hope Havok he doesn’t be eliminated coz Shaw killed Darwin with the powers of Havok if Havok feel responsible for the death of Darwin i say give him a chance please coz he is a great and talented and greatest gentlemen guy so i hope he doesn’t be Eliminated Please coz i want to see the both brothers on the second film of X-men First class 2 Havok and Cyclopes that,s all thank you

If Fox is smart they will at the very least do an X-Men 4 . I mean I think it should go to at least 5 but that’s me. I agree that Cyclops was gipped in the first 3 movies and James is an awesome actor and did a very good job and could do even better now. I also think it would be good to spot light Storm. Both of these characters are huge players in the marvel universe and deserve there do. Halle and James both want it. The fans want it and will pay big money for it as long as it’s really good. So Fox, what the hell are you waiting for? X-Men First Class is great I loved it but it can wait 2 years. Lets get X-Men First Class out there. And give Rogue Miss Marvels powers! Good Lord!
X-men 4 is a great plan to make everything clear. It is the key to the future of the X-men movies. Both Cyclops and Storm has an important roles in the movie, they must to give them both a good spot light and not just sticking to one character in every film. And I agree with Rogue’s power, they must to give every member a nice roles, not just a freaking supporting character.
