TV Shows on DVD — Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced a July 31st release date for Marvel’s WOLVERINE anime series which previously aired on G4 and Animax last year. The 2-disc set will feature the complete series, including 3 new featurettes which give a peek behind the scenes of the animated show: “The Marvel Anime Universe: Wolverine Reborn,” “The Ferocious Anti-Hero: Wolverine Defined,” and “Wolverine Meets X-Men.”
Starring the voice talent of Milo Ventimiglia (TV’s “Heroes”), WOLVERINE pays homage to Frank Miller’s legendary graphic novel from the 1980’s. The series begins when Mariko, the love of Logan’s life, is forced back to Japan by her crime-lord father, Shingen. Logan vows to get her back at any cost. He is plunged into a chaotic world of corruption and violence, forcing him to team up with young assassin, Yukio, to battle their way through the Japanese criminal underworld.

So which is it, the 31st, or the 20th? 😉 I already know the answer, just want your readers to know. 🙂
Corrected: Sorry! 🙂
The show looks like Puke.
I really enjoyed the X-Men anime, but I’ve found it hard to get excited over this one, even though Wolverine had a cameo in the Iron Man anime, I haven’t been able to get psyched for any of what I’ve seen from this show so far, but will give it a chance.
