It seems director Matthew Vaughn left X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, because timing was an issue for filming Mark Millar’s THE SECRET SERVICE. The comic book creator told Comic Book Resources, “Matthew and I have been talking about [The Secret Service] for years. We thought Matthew was going to do X-Men first, but we found out there were actually a few imitators of ‘Secret Service’ in the works. There are three other projects I know of now about a James Bond kind of guy taking a street kid and turning him into a spy. Three screenplays were already going through Hollywood about this! So Matthew and I said, ‘F**k this. We’re not letting anyone steal our ideas.'”
Bryan Singer has since taken on duties as director.

Mark Millar was hired to consult FOX’s movies and the first thing he accomplished… removed Matthew Vaughn’s from the director’s seat! Great job Mark Millar! **sarcasm**
Milar is an asshole, and Vanghn is a fool. F&**& Them. They should hire Stan Lee and Chris Claremont to over sea the movies from the comic book story side of the business.
Vaughn will probably direct STAR WARS – EPISODE VII (you do not believe that he would jump from the X-Men project for anything less interesting?! I mean come on? An original work of a James Bond copy?!).
