Is Apocalypse making an appearance in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST? When Bleeding Cool asked director Bryan Singer, he appeared visibly nervous, saying “I can’t tell you.” When asked if a character like that would require performance capture, he went on to say “This is how it gets started, when somebody starts piecing the little bits together.”
Take this with a grain of salt for now, as Singer didn’t actually confirm anything. It is an interesting idea though. While the character did not appear in the original “Days of Future Past” arc, his inclusion could work in context. Born in Egypt, Apocalypse (real name En Sabah Nur) is known as being the first mutant. The popular 1995 storyline known as the “Age of Apocalypse” featured an alternate timeline in which he conquered much of the world.

I feel like Bryan Singer got pissed on people keep asking question about who’s in and who’s out in the film.. I can see that he really don’t like people trying to keep his secrets out of the box.. I understand him, coz it will just lessen the excitement and surprises in the whole film..
Apocalypse would be a great tease at the end of the film, like Thanos in Avengers. It does suck if this turns out true and is supposed to be a surprise. Thanos completely caught me off guard, and that was a good thing.
Apocalypse deserves a trilogy of his own. Have one movie about Sinister (where you can even bring back Cyclops). Have one movie solely about the Four Horsemen and then have a final movie with Apocalypse.
I agree. Apocalypse is too major a villain for one film.

My question is if he does appear towards the end then what would it leave the franchise open for? Would it be an XF3 or X5 next? I say X5 because DOFP is obviously the X4 Donner was referring too and with time travel in the picture Apacolopyse would be perfect. Donner said X4 lead to X5. If it is an X5 I say release it a year or two later because the cast is not getting any younger.

if so, then they need to have Ben Foster in the film (as Angel) so that he can be “seen” by Apocalypse to become Archangel.

It doesn’t necessarily need to be in this movie. I’d rather such a transformation happen in a movie of its own. There’s no need to do everything in one movie.
