Studio estimates reports that James Mangold’s THE WOLVERINE came in at #10 during its fourth weekend at the domestic box office. The film brought in around $4.4 million (44.9% drop), bringing its domestic total to $120.4 million. With foreign numbers at around $194.7 million, the film has a estimated worldwide total of $315 million.
While “The Wolverine” is grossing lower than all previous “X-Men” films domestically, it has surpassed the first “X-Men” on a worldwide scale. The film has yet to open in Egypt, Japan and China.
Budgeted at $120 million – not including marketing costs – the film is already seen as a success for 20th Century Fox both financially and critically.
