Did you like THE WOLVERINE? Good, because director James Mangold is currently in negotiations with 20th Century Fox to helm an additional film starring the popular mutant! Mangold is working out a deal to write the film’s treatment and longtime “X-Men” producer Lauren Shuler Donner is obviously on-board. If everything works out, we’ll see Hugh Jackman play the character for the 8th time in his career (including his “First Class” cameo and future role in “Days of Future Past”).
While the film didn’t break the box office in the USA ($132m), it was a big hit worldwide, bringing in more than $413m on a $120m production budget.
Please bring Yukio back!
Copy that! Yukio needs to come back. Jackman and Fukushima teamup film would be awesome. They worked so perfectly together.
That’s awesome news. I loved THE WOLVERINE (my favorite X film so far) and I would “kill” to see a sequel made by the same team.
Very pleased about this. 🙂
Altough I’m expericing some WOLVERINE apathy..
It’s seems resonable to finish a trilogy xD
I was getting major Wolverine fatique until THE WOLVERINE. Mangold really did a great job on that, so I’m definitely up for another Wolverine film as long as he’s directing.
Yukio teaming up with Wolverine and Rogue if possible? James wanted Rogue in his original plot right.. i think he can put her in this one to show her darker side and real power.. 😀
I hope they do that. A badass Rogue fighting with Wolverine could make this movie epic
If they want to keep things futuristic, then a modified version of “Old Man Logan” would be interesting, but would definitely need lots of changes to make it work.
What are some good storylines they can adapt? Or should it be an original tale?
İt’s a really great new. ı hope it happens. but ı don’t want oldman logan or something like that. Omega red would be interesting or GORGON (medusa eyes Ninja).
LADY DEATHSTRIKE PLEASE!!!!
If they planning to make it happen after they left Japan.. Maybe they went to Russia and met Omega Red there.. or its time to bring The Hand with Psylocke or if possible Elektra. Ninja should be in the sequel..
I’d direct them towards Greg Rucka’s run, or maybe Warren Ellis’s ‘Not Dead Yet’ could be used as a strong jumping-off point.
I imagine they’re gonna want to stay quite grounded, and introspective. Perhaps even more-so than ‘The Wolverine’….
I think it will take place after the events of DOFP, in a restored world where the X-Men are alive and a team again. They may release it in addition to the new X-Force movie.
