X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST is the highest-grossing movie of the year…for now! In its sixth weekend at the worldwide box office, Bryan Singer’s blockbuster film reached an estimated $713 million, a franchise best, besting fellow Marvel heroes “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” ($711 million) and “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” ($703 million). The film’s earnings has bumped up the entire X-MEN film franchise total to more than $3 billion!
Domestically speaking, the film stands at $223.4 million and is just below 2006’s X-MEN: THE LAST STAND ($234 million) when not factoring in ticket price inflation.
