Director Tim Miller exits DEADPOOL sequel over creative differences.

The DEADPOOL sequel will have to find a new director, as Deadline reports that Tim Miller has dropped out of the pre-production due to “a series creative differences” with star and producer Ryan Reynolds.

According to the site, Miller left the development process on Friday; he actually wasn’t formally signed to direct, but had every intention of returning along with original writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who are still on board.

A praised VFX wizard, Miller made his *full* directorial debut with the highly acclaimed film, which earned an impressive $782 million at the box office on a budget of just $58 million. He started the process of getting Deadpool to the big screen back in 2011, eventually leaking CGI test footage which gained massive attention among fans, leading to the film being greenlit as a hard-R film.

Miller’s relationship with 20th Century Fox is still good, as he will be directing a potential franchise titled “Influx” for the studio.

Now the pressure is on to find a suitable replacement. You can bet producers and Fox will choose wisely, as “Deadpool” is their highest-grossing film in the entire “X-Men” film series.

Fan-favorite characters Cable and Domino will have roles in the anticipated sequel. Meet the Movie Press revealed that Miller wanted Kyle Chandler for Cable, though it seems that was one of many “creative differences.” According to scooper Umberto Gonzalez, the studio wanted Liam Neeson. For Domino, Collider reports that actresses in the running include Lizzy Caplan, Eve Hewson, Mackenzie Davis, Kelly Rohrbach, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Sofia Boutella, Sienna Miller, Sylvia Hoeks and Stephanie Sigman.
