Fox’s upcoming THE GIFTED series had a big presence at FPEC 2017 (aka Fox Promotion Executive Conference) in Vegas. Stephen Moyer, Amy Acker, Jamie Chung and the entire principal cast were on hand to promote the X-Men universe show, which premieres October 2 at 9pm (8c).

Check out this Fox 5 Vegas interview with some of the cast members, including Natalie Alyn Lind and Moyer, who play Lauren and Reed Strucker, respectively. Lauren is Reed’s daughter, and has the ability to manipulate the air around her. Her father is in a complicated situation, as he works for a government faction that is on the hunt for mutants.
A new commercial for the series is now airing, showing bits of new footage from the Bryan Singer-directed pilot. Thanks to Lori.
We’ve also learned that Fox handed out screeners of the pilot, so it’s out in the wild (for the press, at least).
The show follows a suburban couple’s ordinary lives as they are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.
Filming for season one begins next month in Atlanta through the end of the year. The original pilot was shot in Dallas.
