First look at X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX set construction as cast prepare for Montreal production..

Our friends over at JenLawFilms have uncovered the first official set construction photo from Simon Kinberg’s upcoming X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX masterpiece. The behind the scenes image appears to show the interiors of Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters.

Earlier, set designer Brent Lambert posted that he completed his work on the 9th of June.

Filming begins later this month in Montreal, and some of the film’s cast have already been spotted around Montreal. Star Sophie Turner was found snapping a photo with a fan.

Storm actress Alexandra Shipp showed excitement for her role as the weather goddess by getting matching lightning strike tattoos with her dad for Father’s Day.

James McAvoy is also preparing for his fourth time portraying Professor X, knowing full well that his luscious locks are about to go bye-bye. The star instagrammed a brief video, giving many of his fans heart attacks.

McAvoy has also been hanging out with Beast actor, Nicholas Hoult. The two have been having fun, riding bikes and causing friendly chaos wherever they go.

“Dark Phoenix” will follow the X-Men in 1991 (as mentioned by Christopher M) as they deal with the growing power of teammate Jean Grey (Turner) and an advanced alien civilization called the Shi’ar empire, led by Lilandra (Jessica Chastain).

Production is planned to continue through October for theatrical release on November 2, 2018.
