Dazzler confirmed to appear in Simon Kinberg’s X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX.

Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that mutant singer Dazzler will appear in Simon Kinberg’s X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX, which is set in the early 90’s.

It’s unknown which actress will take on the role of Alison Blaire, though Taylor Swift was a potential favorite among fans, who saw the singer posing alongside Kinberg and the cast during time off from filming X-MEN: APOCALYPSE.

Swift was never officially in the running, at least at that point in time, so it’s unknown which direction producers will take with the character, who can manipulate light with sound.

Honestly, I wouldn’t mind seeing superstar Rihanna in the role.

Dazzler appeared in an indirect cameo during promotion for ‘Apocalypse,’ with her album cover appearing in a photoshopped image instagrammed by Jean Grey actress, Sophie Turner. Fans at Comic Con International were also treated to a limited edition “album.”

it shouldn’t be too long before we find out whose been cast, as filming begins next month in Montreal and continues through October for a November 2, 2018 theatrical release.
