Domino co-creator Robert Liefeld praises Zazie Beetz’s portrayal in DEADPOOL 2.

It appears Zazie Beetz role as Domino in director David Leitch’s DEADPOOL 2 is going to become a fan-favorite. Earlier, it was reported that test screening reactions had high marks for both her and Josh Brolin’s Cable, respectively. So much, in fact, that additional scenes with the characters were allegedly added during reshoots.

Co-Creator Robert Liefeld has also given Beetz high praise. While instagramming a photo of an impressive new billboard promoting the film, he wrote:

“My lucky lady! You will leave DP2 seeing only Zazie as our wonderful DOMINO! She absolutely owns this role. If anyone could steal a film from DP and Cable, you are looking at her! Trust the daddy on this one!”

Some fans have questioned her look in the film compared to the comics, but Beetz is proving to own the role with her talent and pure charm, capturing what makes the character great.

Deadpool 2 arrives in theaters on May 18.
