The runtime for director Simon Kinberg’s DARK PHOENIX film has seemingly been revealed. According to multiple theater chains, the film will clock in around 114 minutes (1 hour and 54 minutes). Though this has yet to be officially confirmed by 20th Century Fox, this is looking to be what X-Men fans can expect when they go to the cinemas.
Late last year, shortly after production held reshoots for a completely new third act, Kinberg mentioned the film is somewhere between 2 hours and would not exceed 2 hours and 30 min.
To compare, here are the runtimes for previous mainline films in the series: X-Men (104 mins), X2 (134 mins), The Last Stand (104 mins), First Class (132 mins), Days of Future Past (131 mins), Apocalypse (144 mins).
Dark Phoenix arrives in theaters on June 7, 2019.
