Aaron Sims Creative has been busy posting concept artwork from director Simon Kinberg’s DARK PHOENIX film. They include a variety of locales and character designs, including looks at the aliens, their spacecraft and their homeland.
Though we got a peek at the original form of the D’Bari and their planet, it’s apparent that Kinberg originally intended to put a bit more focus on the cosmic elements of Marvel Comics’ iconic X-Men story.
The most interesting piece is a look at this “feathery friend,” who may or may not be a version of the Shi’ar race, who evolved from alien bird-like creatures. There’s also the possibility it’s another mutant; perhaps Beak?
