X-Men: First Class Box Office: Week 1

In its first week in theaters, X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, budgeted at around $140 million (after tax breaks), made back its production costs thanks to a $144 million box office haul worldwide. So far the film has pulled in $69 million domestically and $74 million internationally.

The film continues to receive positive word-of-mouth, receiving a 86% “fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes, making it the second best reviewed X-Men film ever.

Early estimates give a $27 million total (50% drop) for weekend 2.
