Is THE WOLVERINE coming to theaters next year? Possibly, according to producer and star Hugh Jackman. “We shoot in October,” says Jackman on the film which is being helmed by 3:10 To Yuma director James Mangold. “It will probably come out a year after. That’s usually around the timeline.”
20th Century Fox has yet to officially announce when we’ll see Wolverine battling samurai in Japan, though it’s certain they’ll want a couple tentpoles to compete with Walt Disney Pictures THE AVENGERS and Columbia Pictures THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN next year.

Ojala pasen luego los dias y vayamos al cine
I Love Xmen !!!!!
WHA?!
NOOO!
I don’t want the film to start filming. GOD! Why are they making a sequel to a movie which disturbed the timeline on the X-Men history?
It can’t be in cinemas next year though, they need to cast the characters, filmling which will take a year or so, then the editing, then the production and done.
Why not… they did the same with FIRST CLASS!
Shooting started fall 2010, and the film was in theaters in June 2011.
Could work for THE WOLVERINE as well.
I’d like if they released THE WOLVERINE in November 2012.
Bienvenida Paulina soy Cyber-X yo tambien soy muy fanatico a el X-men universe but aqui hablamos Ingles pero si gustas hablar mexicano no hay problema cuidate mucho y esta pelicula va a estar lo maximo

i m Sorry Anthony for taking your welcome words i hope it doen’t butter you at all thank you
Nice to know your being nice to someone Cyber X
@ Xavier:
Why not? Coz X-Men has a advantage because Wolverine originates from X-Men and so I think that making a sequel to that film will be just pointless.
Wait a minute… it is a spinoff, a stand-alone film. The X-Men will be continued with the FIRST CLASS sequel and X4. I really enjoyed X-MEN ORIGINS WOLVERINE and cannot wait to see a follow-up, set in an exotic location like Japan.
And do not forget that despite some fans not liking it, XMOW was quite successful at the box office gathering a worldwide total of 373 million. Fox would be totally braindead if they did not greenlight a sequel. That’s how film industry works… no matter how good or bad a movie is, if it makes enough money, a sequel will be made.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine has a lot of fans and was a success at the box office, despite criticism. I didn’t like it, but there are plenty who did. I think the “exotic location” will be something fresh and different for an X-Men film. Hopefully they knock it out of the park.
Just take a look at the TRANSFORMERS franchise… I mean, watching one of those film hurts your IQ, and you will loose one IQ point per second… yet, those braindead films are successful and T3 will probably be number 1 in 2011… God knows why.
Thank you Marvel Fan> i appreciated your point of view of mine i like to threat ppl very nice specially girls of course thanks
if you can see Marvel Fan> i can translate my Spanish language in to an English well some of them not all of them some of them are difficult but if you understand my Spanish language i Appreciated your thought of mine, if you don’t its ok no worries its for the best of everybody,s of course but thank you again
Cool I hope it’s better.
Me too. I just didn’t like X-Men Origins: Wolverine. This script is getting high praises, so hopefully it will be better. Not 100% sold on the director, but lets see where this goes.
Watch 3:10 TO YUMA, and you will get an impression of his work. It is an awesome film told in beautiful pictures with the focus on characters and dialogues.
He is a good choice.
I’ve never seen any of his films, but I will check out 3:10 To Yuma this weekend.
Honesty i m on the side of Anthony cause i like so much the logo of the X of the x-men films so original and metal like mutation so sciense and i like so much this tree characters Storm Cyclopes and Colossus the other its alright but the one who i mention it it make,s me very inspire like them so much but the others moreless but the ones that i like its Cyclopes Storm and Colossus
Your welcome Cyber X.
Fine I see your pointssssss
I didn’t quite like the film either Anthony, but I did like Cylops and Emma.
The sequel better have Lady Deathstrike and the silver samuri!
3:10 To Yuma was great, Trust me..
I know Silver Samurai will be the main antagonist of the film, but I hope he’s along with other great mutants like Deathstrike.
Yeah
That would be epic.
We need an X-men related film for 2012.
Avengers and Spider-Man will be puke.
Should be released with Dark Knight Rises, to see which hero wins at the box office.
