Producer Lauren Shuler Donner says that while she would like to make an X-MEN 4, it’s not on the current slate of films to bring to the big screen. Recently speaking with PopCorn Biz, she says she’s focusing on THE WOLVERINE and DEADPOOL. “That’s enough for now.” said Shuler Donner. “I don’t think we want to over-saturate the market. I think if we had six ‘X-Men’ movies out there nobody would want to see them. So I would say no – I’m happy with what I’m doing right now.”
The producer confirms that talks about a sequel to the critically-acclaimed X-MEN: FIRST CLASS are in the earliest stages, saying “we’re talking internally about the possibility of having another ‘First Class’, following our characters. We’re talking about doing them, but we’re just in discussions now.”

Not really suprised at all. We all know THE WOLVERINE is a go. It will come a year delayed due to the Aronofsky faux-pas, but it will be there.
I could not care less about DEADPOOL. There are many more intersting characters than him IMO.
I am really looking forward to FC2. The first one was just awesome, had a great plot and well written characters. The leads were awesome and I would love to see a continuation of that chemistry.
She already said earlier this year that a story treatment for X-Men 4 was done and the studio liked it. Now it is just a mattter of the right time to make it.
I would place bets that the seeds for X-Men 4 might be dropped in with the X-Men First Class Films.
I have no problem with The Wolverine coz I know it’s really official. it’s just about the XFC 2, It’s great but it must be X4 first before it.
in a perfect world, we wouldn’t have to look forward to x-men 4. In this hypothetical perfect world, X-Men 3 would have been the awesome epicness it should’ve been, dealing with The Phoenix Saga…this would’ve led to a sequel, X-Men 5, and this film would have concerned the production of a mutant cure and the war between mutants and humans, which has been hyped ever since X-Men (2000).
Unfortunately, we killed Xavier and Scott, we slaughtered Jean Grey and her story, we crammed the battle against a cure into a really bad film, and we gave Magneto and Rogue the cure.
Is there really much to look forward to in a film without any of these pivotal characters. I mean, unless they are giving Magneto his powers back (as is hinted at the end of X3). Maybe they’ll make him and ever bigger bad ass, by blaming side effects from the cure, which will then bring the return of Rogue as her true comic book counterpart, an ass-kicker with flying abilities.
I meant, that the hypothetical X-Men 3 would’ve led to X-Men 4. -__-
say you can say you guys but the producers they already make a choice working on the second film of the wolverine and then the film of the deadpool that,s it that she said mrs lauren schulder donner and then they are discussing first class 2 no more for now we have to understand those producers and then they don’t wana saturated the market and she is right
