Hugh Jackman briefly spoke with Leicester Square TV about THE WOLVERINE while attending the UK premiere for REAL STEEL. The actor says he really wants to do the character justice in the upcoming film, set to be directed by James Mangold.
“We’ll start shooting next year. [Wolverine is] eternally facinating to me. He’s [a] dark, tortured, interesting, flawed character who somehow has the weight of the world on his shoulders and I don’t know, I still don’t feel like we’ve really nailed him and I really want to get it.”
Thanks to ComicBookMovies for the heads up!
Let’s just hope they do not delay it any further… I am looking forward to see this film, it should become an exotic adventure, and I certainly hope they will make this one dark and R-rated.
this movie of the wolverine is just like the last samuray of Tom cruse badly coz of the sufering ppl so i m waiting forward of first class 2
Dude, it’s not going to be like The Last Samurai just because it features Samurai’s in it :S
I know, right? Lol.
Really looking forward to this movie. Hope Mangold does it justice. Would have much preferred to see Darren Aronofsky direct this, but I’ll hold out hope for a good movie.
Me too, I was more than excited for Aronofsky bur seems they’re taking it more seriously this time so I have faith in Mangold for now 🙂
Mangold is a good choice. 3:10 TO YUMA was a character piece, I loved it and it’s my favorite modern Western movie.
I still have yet to see that film. Going to check it out eventually.
