X-Men Films And Superhero Entertainment News — Trailers, Industry Coverage, Reviews, Original Comics: SUPER (2025-), Mutant Fandom And More

Over the weekend, during the Tribeca Festival premiere, Marvel Animation released an official “Roll Call” trailer for X-Men ’97 Season 2, giving an eXciting look at the mutant heroes who will return when the acclaimed animated series comes back to Disney+ this summer. The character-focused promo highlights the core cast while also teasing several unexpected appearances that hint at the larger scope of the upcoming season.

The new trailer once again introduces the main members of the X-Men roster, including Professor X, Magneto, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Storm, Wolverine, Rogue, and Beast. Returning voice actors include Ross Marquand as Professor X, Matthew Waterson as Magneto, Ray Chase as Cyclops, Jennifer Hale as Jean Grey, Alison Sealy-Smith as Storm, Cal Dodd as Wolverine, Lenore Zann as Rogue, and George Buza as Beast.

Beyond the familiar faces, the trailer contains several intriguing surprises. There are teases for additional mutant teams and characters, including members of X-Force, X-Factor and other fan-favorites from across the X-Men mythos. The footage continues to emphasize the fallout from Season 1’s dramatic finale, with the team scattered across different points in time and facing the growing threat of Apocalypse.

Season 2 picks up after the X-Men were displaced throughout history. Some heroes find themselves in ancient Egypt during the rise of Apocalypse, while others are stranded in a distant future. As the mutants struggle to reunite, Apocalypse emerges as the season’s central villain, threatening multiple timelines and forcing the X-Men into one of their biggest battles yet.

Marvel has confirmed that X-Men ’97 Season 2 will premiere on Disney+ on July 1, 2026. The second season will consist of nine episodes and continue the revival’s blend of classic 1990s storytelling with modern animation.
