Sony Pictures has officially unveiled a brand-new synopsis for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, explaining what lies ahead for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker following the emotional ending of Spider-Man: No Way Home. The newly released story teases a hero embracing his role as New York City’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man while struggling with a world that no longer remembers who he is. At the same time, a mysterious new threat emerges that could force Peter to confront a transformation unlike anything he’s faced before.

Official Synopsis:

It’s a BRAND NEW DAY for Peter Parker. Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn’t remember himβ€”and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without himβ€”sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control. But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves – a powerful villain no one can even see.

The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers and Justin Kuritzkes, based on the Marvel comic book created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. The film is produced by Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad, and Rachel O’Connor, with Louis D’Esposito and David Cain serving as executive producers.

The film stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, and Mark Ruffalo. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is a Columbia Pictures production from Sony Pictures and is set to continue Peter Parker’s next chapter in the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe.
