While Simon Kinberg’s developing script for X-MEN: FIRST CLASS 2 is being kept under lock and key, we can confirm that the entire principal cast from the first film already have contract options in place for potential future films. This includes everyone from James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence to even Kevin Bacon and Edi Gathegi, so rest assured that 20th Century Fox has secured these actors should they be needed for ‘First Class’ sequels.

Not necessarily. Just because the actors have a contract for more movies doesn’t mean that they will actually be used in them. I hear it is customary for actors to sign off for three movies these days to avoid drama with the studios about getting a bigger paycheck for sequels.
Darwin should technically have survived in First Class, so he’s 50/50 for a reprise, but I don’t see how Shaw could’ve survived.
^ Exactly this. It’s a safety net for the studio to lock in actors early. This is really important for the actors who careers go on the rise, like Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence. While Edi Gathegi and Kevin Bacon have options, it doesn’t confirm that their characters will return. It just means they’re obligated to return should their characters be needed for future films.
