With the recent announcement of Mark Millar serving as creative consultant for 20th Century Fox’s respective X-Men and Fantastic Four film franchises, fans are wondering if this is the first step towards creating a shared cinematic universe. Marvel has done amazing with their superhero combo, THE AVENGERS and have shown that sticking closer to the comics is a GOOD thing.
Since Fox has access to multiple Marvel characters, do you think they sould combine their franchises or keep them seperate entities? Vote below and comment below!
Not sure, honestly… I love all the X-MEN films so far, since they avoided aliens, alternate realities and timetravel (a line, that I fear they will abandon with DAYS OF FUTURE PAST), so that people like me, who have never had any dealings with the comics and animated shows, could easily link and fall in love with those characters.
Just doing the same, would be a desperate move to copy a – for now – successful formula. The Marvel Universe will run out of steam in the future.
My wish: Let them take place in the same continuity (the new F4 could be a human experiment to counter Mutants like Magneto), but keep it credible to an extend. And avoid stupid oneliners (AVENGERS) and kindergarden humor!
Why can’t you marry the two elements? You still have that style that the X-Men movies are loved for and add more of the comic based story lines. Just because have aliens or time travel should not discredit a movie or story. If the plot and characters are handled well it will be awesome!
not sure coz theyre powers of Fantastic 4 it was created by the explition of the ship space and for the part of the explotion of the energy space was given theyre powers and the X-men was created by the DNA personal super human powers and the fantastic was created by the universe when they where visit on the ship space in the universe and the Xmen have theyre own super human super dna supers powers so there you go
X-men must be taken out from its box. I just realized that the X-men need to cooperate with the other marvel movie like what’s happening in the pages of the comics. For some reason this will help the fans or non- fans to understand what the x-men can do and who really are they. I think it’s a big step up if they do this thing.
Fantastic Four is a great comic. I watched the films and turns out to be good, but now they’re planning to reboot it and maybe that’s another way joined the other marvel cast. Pertaining to the Avengers.
But X-men still rocks with or without the other marvel characters. Just sayin. lol
ABSOLUTELY I would love to see these wonderful characters make a team in future movies,i mean FOX has an entire and richest comic book world with the X-MEN franchise, and not just with the mutants, also FOX has huge potential with the first dysfunctional family of superheroes THE FANTASTIC FOUR,and one important reason both superhero groups had in common: FRANKLIN RICHARDS.i mean wooow, if they combine the MUTANT and the FANTASTIC storylines, they can had their own MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE,that would GREAT and KICKING ASS!!! and after FOX establish both franchises we can see more characters added to the FOX-MARVEL UNIVERSE: DEADPOOL (this is the one that im so excited to look forward),SILVER SURFER,THE NEW MUTANTS,NOVA (frankie raye version),X-FORCE,THE INHUMANS,CABLE,QUICKSILVER,SCARLET WITCH,BISHOP,…..i mean FOX has the jewels crown with THE X-MEN and THE FANTASTIC FOUR properties.
