Director Tim Miller says that 20th Century Fox has yet to move forward on his DEADPOOL film. But with Mark Millar’s new job at 20th Century Fox Films as Marvel consultant, and with Tom Rothman stepping dow as cochair, that very-well might change things. Via Kickstarter, Miller said…
“We’ve turned in an amazing script and done some early tests and visual development that, I’m confident, would get the fans stoked. And Ryan still loves the project. So it’s really up to Fox as to whether or not the film happens. All I can do is hope, and beg periodically, that it be allowed to move ahead.”
The test footage presented to Fox was said to be highly violent. Reynolds previously said “[I would] absolutely [do it] if it comes together the way it should, which is rated R. Last year producer, Lauren Shuler Donner also agreed, saying “[it’s] going to be way different from any of the other X-Men movies. It’s very crazy, more R-rated.”
That was before Green Lantern came out, Now maybe Fox is having second thoughts about it. With X-Men; Days of Future Past and The Wolverine going forward, it seems clear those movies take first priority.
I want to see a crazy x-men film this time..
This Deadpool movie is about as useless as any puke film Michael Bay makes, as we saw with Transformers Puke.
A Godzilla Movie is more interesting then a puke film on Deadpool.
That R-rated footage supposedly showing Deadpool looks like it was done by the twits on You Tube.
