X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST writer Simon Kinberg and his “Genre Films” company have signed a new 3-year deal with 20th Century Fox, which will allow him to expand the X-Men and Fantastic Four properties into a larger universe.
“I have a lot of ideas on how to built those brands and do what everybody is thinking of these days: Be like Marvel,” says Kinberg to The Hollywood Reporter. “I want to be able to build stories over multiple movies. [Fox has] always been incredibly generous with me and trusting me with movies. They treat me like a partner and not an employee.”
Fox Production president Emma Watts commented: “Simon is one of the best out there. We feel very lucky that he calls Fox his home and hope to build our slates together for many years to come.”
He better have killed it on Days of Future Past, so… 😆
Greet news.
