X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST director Bryan Singer tweeted last Friday that he was working hard on the X-MEN: APOCALYPSE script with writers Simon Kinberg (DOFP) and Michael Dougherty (X2). The trio took a break from their hopefully-epic writing session to watch the “final throes of World Cup.”
Via The Hollywood Reporter, 20th Century Fox’s Emma Watts (President of Productions) commented on Singer’s involvement with the film, saying: “Right now we are totally at the outlining phase. But nothing would make me happier than if it all worked out [with Bryan]. It’s always been the intention for him to do it.”

Hope Storm will play better role & have better powers than the usual boring lighting/wind – HEAT things up. Raise the TEMPERATURE! Storm fans are still waiting for Bryan & writers to get it right like they do with Magneto, Mystique, Wolverine and every other character.
She’s not sounding entirely definitive on Singer just yet, but it certainly seems like she wants to be (if you follow me), which is encouraging.
Factor in that the Lawsuit seems at this stage to be entirely spurious, and I’d be reasonably confident that we can look forward to another Bryan Singer X-Men flick in a couple of years… 🙂
I hope after XDOFP they bring out the best of the mutant’s powers. There is no time for being a newbie soft weak mutants. He bring Apocalypse then bring all the strength of each characters.. Looking forward to see the orignal cast at the end of the film and the XFC character being revive..
I’d love to see more of the original cast including: Halle, Famke. James Marsden, and Hugh. It would be would be great if they could be a significant part of the plot and get some serious screen time. In terms of mutants that we haven’t seen before I think the Scarlet Witch and Lorna Dane would be interesting.
