Director Bryan Singer posted some production artwork which confirms original Angel’s involvement in X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. The character, originally played by Ben Foster in THE LAST STAND, has major ties to the film’s villain, who turns him into the deadly metallic-winged Archangel.
Writer Simon Kinberg previously mentioned that some characters would appear earlier than when they debuted in the original trilogy, a result of time-travel switching things up. This also explains Jubilee’s inclusion since she was last seen in the present/future timeline.
‘EastEnders’ actor Ben Hardy is rumored for the role.
Production begins late April for a May 27, 2016 theatrical release.
