Rose Byrne on 80’s clothing in X-MEN: APOCALYPSE.

X-MEN:APOCALYPSE actress Rose Byrne spoke with MTV about the 80’s-style clothing she will wear as CIA agent Moira MacTaggert. The actress, who arrived in Montreal this week for filming, also revealed what she calls an “incredible” piece of clothing for James McAvoy’s Professor X.

“I like the 80’s. There’s the high pant, I’ve got a great high pant thing happening. I like a strong shoulder. I’m not a fan of the weird negligee under the blouse, that very 80’s look, like a hint of a negligee. There’s a bit of a high denim pant.

“James McAvoy’s got an incredible suit,” she continues. “It looks like he’s Spandau Ballet – that’s pretty major. But fashion now, 80’s is sort of still in. Like, you could buy it in Marc Jacobs, you know? It’s very interchangeable.”

Byrne promises “some cool looks” for MacTaggert, saying they’re “gonna have some fun with it.”
