According to sources at This Is Infamous, 20th Century Fox is looking towards Bryan Singer to direct the 2017 sequel to Josh Trank’s FANTASTIC FOUR, which release this August. Apparently the studio is satisfied enough with Trank’s first film, but they want to put things on another level, making the Fantastic Four just as big as their X-Men franchise. If all goes to plan, this could lead to an all-out crossover between the X-Men and Fantastic Four in 2018.
A couple years back during production of X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, Singer mentioned an idea for a “Marvel mash-up” film, which may or may not be the 2018 film Fox has scheduled.
This is a RUMOR for now, but it does make sense in the scheme of things. Take with a grain of salt until proven otherwise.
Maybe we’ll here something during Comic Con…
Update: Not confirmation, but another reason to take with grain of salt for now…
Took down the story of Fox wanting Bryan Singer to direct Fantastic Four 2 because my source told me its 1000% not true.

I love Josh Trank… I think he’s gonna give us the first great Fantastic Four movie which is just fantastic! However, Bryan Singer is just an fantastic director and its only fitting that he directs the 2nd Fantastic Four film before he directs the inevitable Fantastic Four and X-Men film!
Make it happen FOX!
