Concept artist Joshua James Shaw posted alternate costume ideas in mind for Brinna Hildebrand’s Negasonic Teenage Warhead in DEADPOOL. Many are closer to the look of the comic book character, but a “New Mutants” design was requested by director Tim Miller, he says.

“It turns out I was going overboard with the goth look for NTW and Tim wanted us to do a pass of her in a suit close to what Josh Middleton designed for his New Mutant covers.Then the costume department would put together something over the suit to give her the goth look. I’ve learned over the years that some directors care about the source material, and you can guess which ones don’t. Fun Fact: Tim goes to the comic store just about every week and leaves with a PILE of comics!”

Psylocke actress Olivia Munn told MTV News that she doesn’t know what the future holds for Psylocke beyond X-MEN: APOCALYPSE.

“No, I don’t know. I just know that it was really important to me that Psylocke got to show off how strong and lethal she is in the fight scenes…” Munn said.

Paper Magazine features a new interview with Lanà Condor, where she talks about her experience with being cast as Jubilee in X-MEN: APOCALYPSE.

On fan reaction to her as Jubilee, she says “Oh my God, at Comic-Con I totally thought no one was going to know who I was. I was like, ‘There’s no reason for me to be here, no one will know.’ But when I was announced and walked out on stage people were cheering and that was the weirdest thing for me. I’m so blessed for Jubilee to already have a pre-existing fan base, which a lot of actors and actresses just starting out in the business don’t have. I was so blessed that Jubilee already had this fan base. It’s been crazy how supportive people have been without even seeing my work.”

According to Deadline, Katie Aselton (The League) has been cast as “Amy” in FX’s developing X-Men universe LEGION series. She joins a cast which includes Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey) as the main character, David Haller, along with Rachel Keller (Fargo), Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation), Jean Smart (Fargo) and newcomer Jeremie Harris for showrunner Noah Hawley.

Wolverine Finale
