Mystique actress Jennifer Lawrence told Empire Magazine that she’s “dying to come back” for more X-Men films in the future. “I love these movies, I love being in them,” she said. “I love ensemble movies because it’s not on anyone’s shoulders.”
That’s a bit different from her opinion last year, when she told MTV that X-MEN: APOCALYPSE would be her “last one.” Lawrence has said the hours-long process of turning her skin blue for her character was challenging, especially after her skin had a bad reaction to the chemicals.
“I want them to ask me, and then I’m just going to see how I feel in the moment when they ask,” she explained earlier this year about the potential of returning. “It might not make a lot of sense to a lot of people, but I feel like I’ll know when they ask. If I get a pit in my stomach and feel like I’m going to throw up, I’ll say no. And if I don’t, I’ll ask how much they want to pay me.”
Lawrence’s co-stars, who stared with her in 2011’s FIRST CLASS have all said they’d be interested in returning. Nicholas Hoult (Beast) said “I have a good time playing Beast, so I’d keep making them.” Michael Fassbender (Magneto) said he’s “always interested in moving forward” and James McAvoy (Xavier) has expressed interest in continuing with Professor X.
