Sources tell Deadline that Deadpool & Wolverine stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are in the conversation to join a rotating group of stars hosting the upcoming Academy Awards, airing March 2 on ABC. Marvel’s duo have yet to agree to the gig, as it’s said there’s “mixed signals” regarding their involvement. Will Ferrell, Amy Poehler and Dwayne Johnson are also in the discussions of potentials.
They hear that Disney is looking to submit Reynolds for Lead Actor and Jackman for Supporting Actor across all the major award circuits.
