The mutant corner of Marvel (aka the best corner 😋) is heading into April with three very different comic book releases. From the continuing struggles of the X-Men, to a brutal new collection of Wolverine stories, along with Deadpool causing what may be the end of the Marvel Universe, April 1st looks like a good time for comic readers.

X-MEN (2024) #28 continues “Danger Room: Part Three” as Jed MacKay and artist Netho Diaz push the team deeper into the mysterious crisis surrounding the iconic training facility. The X-Men are already on the ropes as the Danger Room’s strange machinations continue to escalate, but an unexpected ally may finally give them a chance to fight back. Even with help arriving, however, the odds remain stacked against them, leaving readers to wonder whether the team can actually survive what they are facing.

LOGAN: BLACK, WHITE & BLOOD (2026) #4 offers readers another anthology of intense Wolverine stories, told in the striking black, white, and red style that has become a signature of the series. Ethan Sacks and Garry Brown explore a haunting tale set in the Canadian wilderness, centered on a terrifying legend that may somehow connect to Logan himself. Giuseppe Camuncoli revisits the era when Wolverine operated under the identity of Patch, telling a story from that chapter of his life. Finally, Phillip Kennedy Johnson and Piotr Kowalski imagine Logan far in the future, when he has become the last mutant alive and must decide what he still has left to fight for. Dan Panosian provides the awesome cover artwork.

DEADPOOL: APRIL POOL’S DAY (2026) #1 brings the expected insanity of Wade Wilson, but with an extra layer of danger. Written by Gail Simone with art by C.F. Villa, and a cover by David Baldeon, the one-shot begins with Deadpool celebrating April Fool’s Day in classic fashion: tricks, jokes, and absolute mayhem. However, the humor quickly gives way to something much more serious when Wade realizes that a universe-ending threat is unfolding. The catch, of course, is that nobody believes him because it is April 1st and he is Deadpool.
