X-Men Films And Superhero Entertainment News — Trailers, Industry Coverage, Reviews, Original Comics: SUPER (2025-), Mutant Fandom And More

One of the reasons the classic X-Men films connected with audiences is because they understood how to balance heavy emotional moments with humor and humanity. While the franchise often deals with serious topics, it regularly injects comedic beats that make the characters feel more relatable and lived-in. In X2: X-Men United, humor is used to give brief moments of relief in a story filled with tension and danger. These lighter interactions help establish the camaraderie within the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters.

One of the film’s funny moments comes when Iceman attempts to kiss Rogue while Colossus quietly sketches nearby. Knowing Rogue’s powers absorb the life force and abilities of anyone she touches skin-to-skin, Bobby cautiously tries to make the moment happen anyways. Meanwhile, Colossus humorously draws an exaggerated illustration of Bobby being “zapped” by Rogue’s powers. It’s visually comedic, but it also reinforces the tragic reality of Rogue’s condition, that intimacy can become dangerous.
