X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST director Bryan Singer told Cinema Blend that his upcoming film will explore new territory, both on screen and behind the scenes.

There’s things that we’re going to do in this movie that haven’t been done in X-Men films before.” he says. “Stuff involving [time travel], and stuff involving certain technology, and certain science fiction aspects that haven’t been used before in an X-Men film.”

With the upcoming JACK THE GIANT SLAYER, Singer gained experience using advance motion-capture and 3D. He says that similar tech will likely be used for this X-Men film.

“I’ll probably use some of the motion-capture technology for certain things. And of course the 3D technology. I’ll be shooting native stereo on X-Men.”

Calling this “the biggest movie I’ve ever made,” he told Collider that a portion of the film “takes place in the 1970s,” and revealed that “[President] Richard Nixon’s in it, that’ll be an interesting casting choice.”

Filming begins April 15th in Montreal “probably until October.”
