X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST director Bryan Singer recently told IGN that Peter Dinklage’s role is definitely not for that of Puck, the Canadian mutant member of ‘Alpha Flight.’ It was reported that Dinklage would play the main antagonist in the film, reportedly Bolivar Trask or his brother, Simon, creators of the mutant-hunting robots known as the Sentinels. Singer confirms one thing… he’s definitely not going to be a CG creation.

โ€œHeโ€™s not going to be a CGI character,โ€ he said. โ€œHeโ€™ll be himself. Not that heโ€™ll be playing Peter Dinklage, heโ€™ll be playing this character. Itโ€™s not a shy character. Heโ€™s just such a phenomenal actor; Iโ€™m a huge fan of Peterโ€™s and Game of Thrones. He was my first choice and I was really happy [about the casting]. Itโ€™s so funny to talk to him because he does that impeccable accent [on Game of Thrones] and then you talk to him and heโ€™s this guy from New Jersey.โ€

Singer also says to expect more announcements re: an actor he’s currently negotiating with and confirmation on the “younger” mutants of the film.

Will Cyclops, Jean and/or Storm get the “First Class” treatment?
