James Mangold’s THE WOLVERINE came in at #2 during its second weekend at the box office. The film brought in an estimated $21.7 million (59.1% drop), bringing its domestic total to $95 million. With foreign numbers at around $159 million, the film has a current worldwide total of $254 million.

With a production budget of $120 million, the film has made back double it’s costs, already making it a definite success for 20th Century Fox.

“The Wolverine” is still on track to become the lowest grossing “X-Men” film to date, but taking all things into consideration, it’s doing great business and building up the “X-Men” brand after negative reaction to 2009’s “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.”
