The March 2017 issue of Empire Magazine (on sale this Thursday) features LOGAN star Hugh Jackman on the cover, surrounded by flames. Subscribers received an exclusive cover featuring a close-up portrait of the actor (see below).
Inside features an in-depth interview with Jackman, Patrick Stewart (Professor X) and director James Mangold.
Describing the film as βa darker version of Little Miss Sunshine, with the three of us on the road,β Jackman told the magazine, chuckling, that it has βslightly more violence!β
βThe idea of a road picture with Logan, Laura and Xavier in an average car was a driving image for me,β said Mangold. βTaking heroes and putting them in normalcy β and nothing makes them more normal than to cram them into a car and make them have to deal with each other β that seemed the ultimate contradiction of what tentpole movies tend to do.β
Actress Dafne Keen is already impressing fans with her fierce portrayal of young Laura aka X-23, a young mutant clone of Wolverine. Describing one intense scene between her character and Logan, Jackman reminisce one day on set, saying: βI just yelled, βSHUT THE FUCK UP!β At the end of 40 minutes of this I went up to Maria, Dafneβs mum, and I said, βMaria, Iβve got an 11-year-old and Iβm just really sorry.β Maria said, βAw, donβt worry, she just called you a cunt. In Spanish.ββ
The issue features a good amount of new photos, some which you can view below.
“Logan” comes to theaters on March 3.
