With DARK PHOENIX now in cinemas, X-Men fans are noticing there’s quite a few scenes from trailers and promotional photos that never made the final cut. It’s widely known that director Simon Kinberg’s directorial debut underwent reshoots to completely change the third act and rework some scenes after test screenings and studio suggestions. Below are some of the most noticeable omissions we noticed.

I wish they would just released a director cut, I mean it’s bullshit that they changed so much from the trailer.
Will ANY of this be available with DVD release……?
Some, probably not all, will be included as deleted scenes on the home video release. No official word yet if there are any plans for an extended or alternate cut. 🙂
Thank you for posting this. Just yesterday I re watched the trailer and realized how much was not shown. Look like those could be some quality scenes
i love this movie specialy the powers on Cyclops and Dark Phoenix the bad news is very intense the movie like the lord of the rings the two towers
i m sorry for this secound post but i saw and i heard to many bad comments from the fans out there that the fans didnt like the dark phoenix and i hope to the fans to give the fans to many oportunities to the X-men movies to remake what the X-men lost on theyre X-men movies and give the fans so many oportunities to the X-men movies universe to remake what the X-men movies lost because i love so much the xmen films so much and i wish to see in the future see more X-men movies again thank you Xmf and thank you our dear friend Anthony. excuse for posting tree more post now but i think i know what is the problem with this X-men movie in the Dark Phoenix i seen it so many times this X-men movie and i know what is the deal here with this x-men movie the problem is the Aliens came to the world to transformed the aliens in to the Mutans like this alien killed the lady in the white hair she was killed by a bad alien and that alien transformed in to this lady to kill one and one mutants and Jean gray was possesed by the Phoenix and this last movie of X-men Jean gray and the phoenix was both was good mutants but the bad thing is none of the fans tryed to undestand this X-men last movie is all about and the mutant nobody find out whats wrong with jean and Jean gray is not a bad mutant is a good mutant so as the Phoenix because she was absorbed the red energy floted in the space and Jean and nightcrawler save every one in the spaceship when the astronauts was stuck in the spaceship the X-men team came to rescue the astronauts when the astronauts was stuch in the spaceship and jean absorb the red energy who is floting in the space that is it very interesting movie of the Dark Phoenix movie i like it thank you Anthony R Lacy if you have any questions anthony R Lacy i didnt change my email yet so you can email me if you want take care very good movie i enjoy it thank you
They changed it because the aliens were originally the Skrulls. In any event despite this being a very depressing movie (How are they going to explain Rachel and Cable?) I did love it. I’m sorry this is the last. I’m not looking forward to the MCU reboot!
