X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST reached an estimated $727 million worldwide after its seventh weekend at the worldwide box office. Domestically, the film pulled in almost $1.9 million during the July 4th holiday, bringing its homebase total to $227.4 million. X-MEN: THE LAST STAND still stands as the highest-grossing X-Men film here in the USA ($234 million), when not factoring in ticket price inflation.

Thanks to its amazing success with both critics (92% fresh) and the general public, the mutants of future and past have a true blockbuster on their hands, besting Marvel’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” ($711 million) and Sony’s “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” ($704 million). DOFP currently holds the title for highest-grossing worldwide movie of the year.

In other news, producer Lauren Shuler Donner “seemingly” confirmed via Twitter that fans can expect Rogue’s cut sequence on DVD and/or Blu-ray in a possible extended cut of the film. There are other deleted scenes, which director Bryan Singer recently recorded commentary for, which may be included as well.
