According to Film Music Reporter, film composer Cliff Martinez (The Neon Demon) has signed on to create music for James Mangold’s WOLVERINE: WEAPON X.

The film, which stars X-Men veterans Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart, will mark Jackman’s final time playing the title character. Supporting cast includes Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, Stephen Merchant, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Eriq La Salle, Elise Neal and a young child actress who’s rumored to play Laura Kinney aka X-23, Wolverine’s clone and successor.

“Weapon X” is rumored to adapt elements from popular comic book arcs “Old Man Logan” and “Death of Wolverine,” while maintaining it’s own unique plot, written by David James Kelly.

Production is taking place in New Orleans for a March 3, 2017 theatrical release.
