X-MEN: APOCALYPSE concept art shows how Elle Fanning would’ve looked as Jean Grey.

Some new X-MEN: APOCALYPSE character concept artwork of Jean Grey has made its way online from artist Alan J. Villanueva, with designs from costume designer Louise Mingenbach. The artwork shows early contender Elle Fanning in the classic blue and gold costume, rather than Sophie Turner, who won the coveted role. Actresses Hailee Steinfeld and Chloe Grace Moretz were also reportedly in the running.

From this, we know they had plans to go all the way with Jean’s costume by including her unique head piece.

Are you glad Turner is playing the iconic role? Or would you have preferred Fanning?
