A couple of quick promo clips from FX’s upcoming X-MEN universe drama LEGION have made their way online. The first clip shows lead character David Haller (Fargo’s Dan Stevens) using his powers to inhabit the body of a female named Syd (actress, Rachel Keller). The second clip shows Haller and fellow psych patient “Lenny” (actress, Aubrey Plaza) staring at one of their peers, who’s drooling profusely.

“Legion” follows David Haller, a troubled young man who may be more than human. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he’s confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and visions might be real.

The series is being made with showrunner Noah Hawley (FX’s Fargo) and is executive produced by X-Men film producers Lauren Shuler Donner, Bryan Singer and Simon Kinberg, along with with Marvel TV’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory. Production is being handled by FX Productions in association with Marvel Television.

The show premieres early next year.
